A recommended hotel to see the city.

A recommended hotel to see the city.
The hotel is located in a small, quiet side street (one-way street). Metro and bus stops are just a few minutes' walk away. There is parking in front of the house. This, however, with a parking ticket. Alternatively, you can rent a parking space in the secure underground car park nearby for 22 / night (instead of the 20 stated on the website). What is recommended if you know the Parisian park style.
We were received very competently. English was spoken well. The hotel is very compact. In good condition for its age. The hotel consists of a front main building with 5 floors and a smaller rear building with 3 floors. The entrance area has a small bar, a seating area, access to the breakfast room, an elevator and a drinks machine. The small, cozy garden invites you to linger. Breakfast can also be taken there, next to the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet is clear, but contains everything your heart desires. We liked the freshly squeezed orange juice best. The coffee was a bit too weak for us. But that's a matter of taste. Our room (rear building, 1st floor with window to the courtyard) was very clean but not very large (but you just want to sleep there). The room had a double bed, which consisted of two single beds pushed together. The mattresses were not worn out and reasonably hard by French standards. The room also had a telephone (for a fee), free WiFi (we didn't use it because I got a security warning when I logged in that something wanted to have access to my data), a TV (about 50 programs, but only 3sat , ZDF, ZDF neo, ZDF Info and ZDF Kultur in German), a small luggage rack, a table with a kettle and everything you need for morning tea or instant coffee, a chair, electric external blinds, a small cupboard with an integrated safe Ironing board with iron and a socket next to the front door. We missed outlets on the bed, because after a long day out you would like to charge your smartphone and continue to use it at the same time. We also missed air conditioning. We had temperatures around 30 degrees outside. It was accordingly warm in the room. Through the window to the quiet courtyard we could sleep with the window open at night without any problems. The bathroom was also very compact but also clean. Except for a few brown stains on the ceiling that could be wiped away without any problems. The bathroom had a bidet, a toilet, a washbasin and a bathtub that could also be used for showering. Since the bathtub was right by the window (frosted glass), it could not be opened for security reasons. It is not recommended to shower with the lights on when it is dark outside. Unless you want to contribute to the general amusement of the guests present in the garden.
All in all a recommendable hotel for two or three nights.
