I'm editing my last review. When I first moved into Stonegate in January of 2016, Kristin the property manager at the time was excellent. Management was prompt, respectful and the snow removal was swift. In January of 2018 my lease ended. I was an ideal tenant for 2 years, paid my rent on time every month, never broke any policy and even recieved my deposit back because the apartment was left in pristine condition. That same month (I was 2 months pregnant at the time) I lost my job so I moved into another unit here at Stonegate with my mother. Due to not having income at the time I didn't add myself to the lease. My mother now has moved from the unit so my husband and I did the right thing and applied to take over the lease. They denied us, wouldn't give me a reason why, did not give us any way to remedy the situation and just said there was nothing they could do. Since my mother no longer lives in the unit, I went to Kimberly in person with rent payment in hand and additonal deposit, but she refused my payment (this was 1 of several times I tried to pay and she rejected). Kimberly avoided me as much as she could. Now Stonegate is evicting a family of 3 with an infant at Christmas time (mind you we are renters who have never missed a payment and tried to pay rent multiple times, but was denied the right to do so). My husband is a military combat veteran, they are aware of this and I feel they are discriminatory against that as well. I will be calling the local news station and will he reporting this as it is important to let others know of this atrocity.
