Let me get straight to the point -- This was hands down the easiest auto purchase I've ever experienced. That's saying a lot because I am admittedly an analytical and detail-oriented person who has no problem being critical, especially when it comes to purchasing a vehicle.
Typically whenever I make any kind of vehicle purchase, I end up visiting at least 5-6 dealerships -- not out of desire, but because I get fed up with greedy and pushy sales associates, leading me to walk out and move on to the next. My patience can easily be worn thin when I feel like I'm being pressured into something I don't want, and that happened to me at 4 different dealerships during this venture to purchase a vehicle.
However, I knew the moment I walked into Paramount Kia and met with Cathy that it was going to go much better than any of the other dealerships I had visited in my quest to purchase a vehicle. I can't really explain it -- I could just feel that the overall vibe and atmosphere was completely different, in a good way.
Right off the bat I was clear with Cathy that all I ask for is my salesperson to be fair, honest, and to listen to what I say. I said this because I was scorned from prior bad experiences with other sales associates at the other dealerships I visited, but it's honestly something I probably didn't even need to say because I could tell Cathy was a straight-shooter from the start. That, to me, is hands down the most important aspect when dealing with any type of auto purchase -- a sales associate that listens to your needs, doesn't play games, tells it like it is, and gives you a fair deal that allows you to still go home and feed your family at night.
From the test drive of the vehicle, to the price of the car and the paperwork, Cathy and the team made this amazingly easy. The deal I got was more than fair, and not once did I ever feel like I was being pressured into anything I didn't want. Even when it came down to the financing and reviewing various add-on options (because let's be honest, this is where they usually try to up-sell like CRAZY), the various packages were clearly laid out for me so I knew what was available, but they let me choose what best fit my situation without any coercion or pressuring. All of these elements added together are what landed them this sale.
On top of all of this, I was in and out of there with my purchase in just a little over 90 minutes. My schedule is often very tight, and they worked quickly to ensure I was out the door in time to make it to my next endeavor.
Overall, I give this experience an A+. As I said in the beginning, I'm analytical and critical, and I always try to find the weaknesses or problems, much like how water will always try to find the leak in the bottom of a boat so it can sink it. In this case, I have nothing negative I can say. Cathy and the team did their job exactly as i would hope for them to. This is what a car dealership SHOULD be, but what many are not.
Do yourself a favor -- next time you're looking for a car, try this place first. You'll save yourself a whole lot of grief and get the respect and service you deserve.
