Our waiter wasn t great at advising us on dishes. I wanted sushi and when asked for suggestions was told it s all good . He then did finally suggest one dish but it wasn t what I wanted at all (huge sushi roll with minimal flavour). I ended up ordering a plate of sashimi after.
My friend asked if the calamari was in a sauce and then waiter didn t describe the sauce well (it was sweet and sticky, not hot as described) so when it arrived we ended up leaving most of it and ordering the plain calamari.

I m used to wait staff offering brilliant suggestions in US restaurants so was surprised by this, maybe he was new, but it kind of spoilt our evening and I wish he d asked someone else to pop over with suggestions as I think the food was probably delicious if we d made better decisions.
