We went there for my parents 50th Anniversary. The first thing we saw upon getting out of an awesome shuttle we booked ahead of time was a gerbil rooting around in a tree root. I don't know if they are wild or somebody wasn't felling it. The entry was satisfactory and the intake process was grand. There was a nice fire on water fountain out front with some interesting processes happening inside of it.
I love the layout of the resort, but don't walk down the asphalt streets without shoes on. I had to take them off for some reason or another. My wife enjoyed the trip so super much. I enjoyed the massage at the Awe Spa. Very relaxing. The cottage we stayed in was perfect. I liked the setup. It was linear back to the bathroom. They had an outside shower, but I forgot to try it. There is a small courtyard/patio/atrium/grassy mole/outside area attached to each cottage. We spent some time out there at our parent's cottage.
While eating at the Farm, a restaurant that flanks the check-in area, there was an electrical outage due to a car crash that took out a transformer down the way. We didn't get the main course for this reason, just salad and cold desserts. They were apologetic and we weren't unhappy, but other customers were. What can they do in that situation? The power was back on a couple of hours later, but another outage happened the next morning. They had something akin to outside shuffleboard but it had rained and they hadn't installed any drains in the alleyways supporting that game.
