During your contract they are constantly trying to sell you personal training services. When you want to end your contract, they do not let you, saying their cancellation policy requires you to go to the gym to pick up the form, then take it to the post off and mail it via certified mail back to the gym so you have a receipt that they got it. They claim that is for your benefit, but I am pretty sure I know they got it, because I had to go there to get the form anyway. Basically, it is just a ploy to keep you in your contract because they assume people will be too lazy to go to the post office and mail it, and so they can say, even if you hand it directly to someone, you have no proof they got it and they can claim they do not have it and keep charging you.
