If I had to break down, Albuquerque is one of my favorite places. Spent the day in old Town and started with a wonderful taco salad for lunch at Church Street Cafe. I don't know how I've missed this place in the past but I will not make that mistake again. Located in one of the oldest buildings in New Mexico, there is a patio out both front and back and several rooms inside that are very nice and cozy looking. The back patio has a nice little garden courtyard feel with a waterfall. While a taco salad is a simple dish to rate a restaurant on, if they can make the simplest dish seem delicious then you can guess the rest. The salad was fresh and the taco meat was plentiful and perfect, just right on the seasoning and not overly greasy. The service from Arturo and staff was attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. The trifecta! I usually like to try deferent places but I may have to go back for dinner. Recommended!
