I stayed here a few days ago for one night. I visited Miami for my birthday and chose this hotel based on a past stay and the fact that it had a spa. When we arrived there were construction workers directly outside the building making a lot of noise. I immediately became worried as I had a spa appointment that day. The only available spa appointment times were before the check-in so I was told I could leave my luggage with the hotel while I'm at the spa. When I arrived at 12:15pm, I was checked in immediately. This worked out in my favor as my boyfriend was also with me. He was able to hangout in the room while I got my massage instead of him having to find somewhere to go. Upon entering the spa, I was greeted by the lovely receptionist. My massage was great but the noise from the construction flooded the massage rooms as they are directly next to the construction outside. It was so loud towards the end I couldn't hear the receptionist speak when I was checking out. The rooms are nice and clean. The building is old but has modern touches and has a unique factor to it. It has an open atrium in the middle so there tends to be a lot of mosquitoes and moths getting into the rooms. I was annoyed to find mosquitoes in our room as I welt up when bitten. We decided to have a late lunch at the Spartico restaurant located in the hotel and all I can say is...don't waste your money. The food is nothing special, it's overpriced and the serving sizes are for toddlers. I also questioned a foreign looking item in one of the dishes I received and the cook didn't even come out to our table to explain what it was, like most restaurants. Overall, I am indifferent about staying at this hotel as all of my stays have been short and I spend most of the time away from the hotel.
