Positives: good room after being moved from first ...

Positives: good room after being moved from first one. No problem moving room when we complained. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Delicious vegan breakfast. Without exception brilliant staff, especially Tom when dealing with me at breakfast! First room had bath robes.
Lovely gin and tonic in the bar.
We were able to park our camper van in the parking at the back of the hotel, fabulous!
Good breakfast buffet. Not aware of hot breakfast on offer.
Negatives: first room smelt of drains, we discovered the open drain in middle of bathroom floor full of hair! Cupboard door falling off, plywood around safe. Dirty grout in bathroom. Tired room.
Horrid pillows, square big and square small! Very uncomfortable. Pillows are rectangular for a reason! Did not see a "pillow menu". Really affected comfort.
Room bell being rung at 8am and 8.30am on first morning!
No coffee in room, only tea! And plastic pots of milk for coffee, not tea.
I dislike plastic coffee pods but there are other ways to provide coffee in a room, real coffee! We had our cafetiere and coffee in camper van so luckily could make our own.
No conditioner, 3 star hotel ok, 5 star not ok.
Mini plastic bottles of toiletries, not environmentally sound.
Informing hotel that I was vegan and after paying 29 euros each for breakfast discovering all there was was fruit, toast and porridge. After asking if there was anything else a beautiful breakfast, over the top was brought! Why not offer a good breakfast without my having to beg for it!
Very expensive hotel, a bit tired, not up to 5 stars except for staff. When a sign is put on a bottle of water telling us it is free and to relax and enjoy it you know something's not right! Would not stay again.
