We stood in like for half an hour today getting our season pass pictures. No big deal. Then another 45 minutes in the entry line. Starting to get annoyed. Then the security "officer" told me that I could not take my car keys inside because my key chain was "pointy and could be used to poke someone." He also made my husband pull the top of his pants away from his body because his metal belt buckle made the wand beep. Evidently the TSA now works at Elitch Gardens and we all need a cavity search to swim in the pool. This amount of security is time consuming and also pointless, as one could also reason that my hands could also "poke someone" or that my legs and feet could be weapons. I felt like this was extremely invasive and unnecessary. This place also allows people to purchase passes where you can jump in front of the line. So people who have been waiting in the heat for half an hour can now wait even longer while an unlimited amount of people hop in front of them. All in all the lines are insanely long to get in the park, to wait for rides, and even exiting the park. I do not think I will be purchasing season passes for my family next summer.
