Repair Scam...

Repair Scam...
5/12/2020 I brought my 2005 Toyota Rav 4 in for a service diagnostic regarding a traction light sensor. My service rep Bhavik Patel advised me that the yawr rate sensor needed to be replaced. I paid 135.00 for diagnostic and was told part would be appx 600.00 and had to be ordered, the diagnostic fee would be applied towards labor if repairs were completed. I was told I had to pay for part up front and once part arrived they would schedule repairs. I paid 662.00 for the part on my credit card and waited for part to arrive. My service was scheduled for 6/10 for repairs. After 2 days in service , the rep Bhavik advise me after sensor was replaced the same issue still arises, now I was being advised that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced and the repairs would be appx 3200.00 which is more than the value of the vehicle. I was never told any other issue would arise. I asked for the part to be returned and asked for a full credit for a part that did not repair my vehicle. They declined my request and advised the part was non refundable. I was never advised part was non refundable or that a potential other issues would arise. I trusted the dealership in good faith that the repairs would be completed. Toyota did not properly diagnose my vehicle and made me pay up front for a part that did not fix the issue. This was not a repair that was needed. I spoke with the service Manager Chris Teller who only would credit my diagnostic fee and labor toward vehicle. Once my vehicle was returned back to me with the same issue (traction warning) my vehicle is now not drivable. My vehicle is currently in a worse position than before I brought it in, now my vehicle shakes uncontrollably even at 5mph. I left a message with the Tracy Grunett and never received a call back. I feel like Toyota SCAMMED me out of 662.00, my stimulus money during these hard times without even fixing my vehicle. I have owned 4 Toyota s and have bought all of my vehicles from this location. Now I have to invest in another vehicle because it s now non driveable. This is a horrible experience with Toyota and I will be sure to share my experience with my friends, family and Facebook and Twitter and other social platforms if this is not resolved. I want a refill refund for the part.
