The issues are too many to list here. Sadly, the support staff give this place a bad name. Each time that I ever visited it was always the same: slow service, rude administrative staff who could not get billing issues accurate, slow service, failure to return phone calls, did I say slow service? I had private insurance and would call in advance of my appointment so I could get an estimate of the amount that I could expect to pay. They never had an answer or said they would call me back with the information and never did. When I would call to follow-up after not hearing from them, I would just get passed on to the next person or if someone did quote me an amount and I called back because the estimate seemed off a bit I would get quoted an entirely different inflated estimate.
Once I went in, sat with the billing department even though I called in advance for an estimate (hoping that I wouldn't have to sit with billing until they figured out what was due- takes them forever to calculate the balance owed after insurance has paid. I have to literally do the math for them). When I finished with billing they never advised the dentist assistant that I was there so she was sitting in the office waiting on me to arrive and almost cancelled my appointment when I had been there the whole time. An hour had almost passed. Haphazardly, she peaked her head out into the lobby and saw me sitting there.
Two weeks ago I went and signed a release form in request for a copy of my dental records and itemized bill. I was told that someone would call me later that day. I never got that call. I waited the last two weeks just in case they were sending the documents in the mail. They never came. I called to follow-up and was told that they had my request sitting "right here" and asked me exactly what records was I requesting (it is clearly indicated on the form) so she could mail them out. I have questioned the skillset of the people that they hire to do these jobs. My teenager could do a better job. This place needs major training on customer service and time management. It is sad that minorities are subject to such subpar treatment. I stopped going here some time ago after I just could not take any more. You couldn't pay me a million dollars to go back to this place. *Sadly a friendly, professional, and decent dentist has to lose patients because the administrative and billing staff can't get it together.
