I have nothing but tears when it comes to what pinnacle s representative Dave Romero did to our life. We were pre-approved for a jumbo loan, and we asked all of the right questions to do our homework on what to expect. Everything was a lie. Dave lied and was unethical on several issues. The first being how much we would need down, the next how much reserve we had to have, the next was how long to close, and the next, was interest rate. All of which mid- loan, I was able to look up myself what was common requirements for a jumbo loan. LET ME BE CLEAR! my husbands application was pristine! It is difficult to qualify for a jumbo. But we had a pre- approval letter. He has a stellar credit score, income verification, and we are financially sound. He was pre-approved and we have the letter. He admitted to telling us what we wanted to hear so we would not take our business elsewhere.
So mid loan, all of sudden, due to his lack of due diligence, we had to come up with thousands of additional dollars for down payment, reserves, and then we had nowhere to live because he told us it would be a 30 day close but lied. We sold our home based on the timeline Dave told us. Otherwise don t you think we would have put a contingency to close in 45 days? it literally changed our lives. Everything we had planned for financially, was gone. From our monthly bills, to how much we had left for construction on our new house. We had to make arrangements for a place to live, I couldn t run my business, and worst of all, after losing our daughter last year, I wanted to desperately take her belongings from one house to another without packing them. Our life was in storage for 9 days!! He has no idea how much he turned our lives upside down , and now has refused to ever be accountable. We were stuck and had to live with this chaos. We are currently living in the worst construction zone, all because we thought we would be closed in December and could have our new home finished before moving in. It has been hell. All because he lied.
LET ME ALSO BE CLEAR! We have all of our communication in email and text. Every conversation, every document. And every statement he made to us. My husband is not an amateur when it comes to being thorough in detail. He trusted Dave. The worst part was that he was so cavalier about our circumstances, which just added insult to injury. He kept saying just extend like it was no big deal! Not once did he ever apologize for his behavior. It was always someone s else s fault. That sealed the deal of complete failure for us. Not once has anyone come forward, even his boss Michele, to apologize for what had happened, to validate our experience. All they ever asked us, was to change our review and claim they did nothing wrong. This told us it was a complete failure on this entire business, not just one person. Do not use this company if you want to be treated like a human being and not a number. Devastating experience.
