Hotel was beautiful and so well taken care of. The Spa was to die for! You have to try The Grotto ! It was the best steam sauna I have ever been in. Everything was infused with different aromatherapy oils. There was even an exfoliation bar! I had a massage and it was the best massage I ve ever had.

The staff for the hotel were all kind and professional. Jay, who did the ghost tour, was hilarious but also was very informative on the history of the hotel and the town itself. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are beautiful and well maintained, it is very quiet there. If you get a room on the 5th floor there is also a reception area where you can get a drink or have a small meal and it is included in the price of your room.

The restaurant, The 88, was the only downfall for The Elms. The food I was brought at dinner was undercooked and my breakfast the next morning was burnt. I had the Filet Oscar for dinner and it was RARE (gross!). My husband had the KC strip and he could hardly chew it it was so tough. For breakfast I had an omelet and the eggs were burnt. My husband had eggs Benedict and his poached eggs were rock hard. When you go to an expensive restaurant you expect beautiful presentation and plating. There was a lot of work to do there as well.
