Called in and asked if I could schedule an appoint...

Called in and asked if I could schedule an appointment for repairs on my car. I explained to the service department what was happening. Was quoted $170 for diagnostics and was told to come right down with my vehicle. Not knowing much about cars, I went in trusting that they knew about Toyota vehicles.. I went to the front desk and was told to come back at 1:00-1:30 because the technicians were on lunch! What?? The world stops because your techs are on lunch? Your service department doesn't stop when all of your techs are gone. I asked James if he could just take in my car and have the techs do a diagnosis at their convenience then give me a call. James said he can't put me in because he doesn't know their schedule.. Why don't you? Shouldn't you have one to manage time? Finally he decided to take in my car. I asked him to give me a call when diagnostics are done to see if I want to go forward with repairs.

So I dropped my car off with them. I received a voice message just telling me that my car is ready for pick up... Not explaining what was wrong! Not even asking me to call back to discuss what is wrong. So I called them to get a diagnosis like I asked for! They told me me I need a new muffler adding up to $1300+. To be fair I was told I could go elsewhere to get it done cheaper. I called else where and they asked me what was exactly wrong with my muffler. I told other places all I was told is that I need a new muffler, no exact pin point as to what was wrong. So I called Mayfield service department again and was told that most likely it's a hole in my muffler but they don't have a welding kit on sight that's why they refer else where. Far enough, but why wasn't I told that in the first place?! I did definitely go else where but it turns out it was my retonator NOT my muffler! They also did a FULL TRUE diagnostic on my car else where as I was told my air vent filter needs to be replaced. It was horrific, even though Mayfield Toyota checked off that it was fine and doesn't need to be replaced! How am I supposed to pay for a service that wasn't done properly?? They wrongly diagnosis what was wrong with my car AND missed things that they say were checked!

They are putting peoples lives at stake by not doing things properly, by saying the check something when they truly don't. Absolutely terrible service all around. They lose my business as a Toyota vehicle owner.
