If you are interested in conservation, and especially, in the history of conservation, this place is a must. The main building uses some of the most advanced green planning and structure in the US. The main attraction, however, is The Shack, the chicken coop that Aldo Leopold and his family turned out to be their weekends, holidays, and vacations headquarters, and where he took many of his restoration and conservation ideas. It's a very simple place but that's why it has so a huge meaning given the importance of Aldo Leopold to the development of The Land Ethics and so many influential essays.
