I was a returning customer due to last year's satisfaction, but my stay this year was completely horrendous. My family and I decided to stay at this hotel location for vacation, booked one corner room for my intermediate family and one queen bed room for my sister in law and her husband. Our room was just like the one we stayed in last year, but unfortunately the queen bed room for my sister in law was unacceptable. We specifically booked a regular room with just a queen bed, but instead they were given an accessible room that is perfectly designed for those who are handicapped and need it. When checking in, the night auditor did not inform us that the room was accessible. If we had known, we would've asked to change it immediately. I did not know of the accessible room until the next morning my family got together to head out to meet with friends in Toronto. I was appalled when I heard the news, and decided to take care of the situation when we got back from our day trip. When we did get back that night and spoke to one of the night auditors about switching rooms and how giving us an accessible room is inconvenient and completely not for us and that it should be open for those who are in need, he did not bother helping us at all. Instead, he kept saying that there are no more rooms for the night and it is 100% booked - no other options given. The second night auditor gave us the option of switching rooms the next morning, but we felt as though they were not accepting our complaint. Even though the first night auditor claimed that they were fully booked, one hour later after standing at the front desk, the second night auditor pulls a room out of nowhere. So, therefore we got a new room without the accessible bathroom and such. The next morning, we decided to speak to a manager in regards to resolving this situation. The supervisor kept saying how we did book the accessible room and attempted to call security on us for taking a phone out as she made the assumption of one of our family members recording or taking a photo of her. We left in anger for another day, and the night we came back, my sister in law was unable to unlock her room. We went down to the front desk and was told that the room was master locked because the security camera "recorded one of my family members taking a picture and/or recording the supervisor". It was completely outrageous. We had to show our camera roll for evidence in order to unlock our room and clearly, there were no photos or videos of the supervisor. This entire incident was beyond unacceptable. The staff was unprofessional, including the management staff as they were unable to handle or accept a complaint. A simple apology would've been acceptable, but I was not given one until after they unlocked the room. This is most definitely not considered a four star hotel. Will extremely not recommend ANYONE to this location or stay there again.
