I travel a lot for work and traditionally stay in the big name hotels. When the big name hotels were booked for a workshop I was attending, I ended up at St Michel due to its proximity.
This is a very unique hotel and has lots of charm. The manually operated elevator and original elements in my room were awesome. Having a wardrobe instead of a closet and the physical key for my room door were classic and wonderful compliments.
If you are looking for a hotel with amenities and room service, this is not your place. If you are looking for a great place to stay and can appreciate old world charm, Hotel St Michel is a great option.

******The restaurant below Hotel St Michel is extremely fancy, and I felt out of place. Maybe it was me, but I wanted others who see this to know. Hotel is great, but I'm not a fan of the restaurant.
