My wife booked a dog for an echocardiogram due to a heart murmur. She asked for no other services. When the bill came it was for $1008 of which around $600 was for the echo. The rest was for a 6 minute phone conversation with my wife and for the vet to do an auscultation. An auscultation is listening to the heart using a stethoscope. This is generally a part of an echo we have experienced with dogs in the past. A separate charge for this is not common from my previous experiences.

Essentially $300 was for a "consultation" which involved 6 minutes on the phone with the specialist vet. My wife followed up on the charges by email and receives the reply that the consultation was because of a particular history and yet was never were mentioned by the vet and was not discussed in the 6 minute call. My wife felt like she was just receiving results during the call and not a $300 consultation "service". The manager has yet to reply to the most recent email.

We do not plan on returning to this clinic if we can avoid it. If you do choose to go here, be very clear what service you are wanting and what you will be billed for.
