Review of Mariebelle

This is a review based on the quality of chocolat...

This is a review based on the quality of chocolate bon-bons and the lack of customer service. With the level of packaging and aesthetics, the flavor is really lacking. There is an obvious use of extracts which make the experience of eating these chocolates lacking the artisanal quality expected. The chocolate may look pretty, but it seems like the ganaches are not fresh, and the chocolate is blooming from the sides of the chocolate. To top it off, one of the chocolates labeled at Hazelnut, was definitely NOT hazelnut praline (as pictured). I tried to address this with the company and they didn't respond to the fact that the chocolate is not what they are claiming it to be. I understand not being able to return them, but this is exactly why I wanted to return. It is NOT artisanal or high quality chocolate.

Maribelle claims to be a world class chocolatier, but compared to other chocolatiers around the U.S., their standards are extremely low. The flavor booklet says the chocolates last for up to 4 weeks, which in a typical setting bon-bons and truffles without preservatives would last up to 2 weeks. Next time you're looking for artisanal, handmade chocolates try Stick With Me Sweets or Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate--at least their products have integrity.
