I am NOT a casino guy. I rarely gamble and haven't been to Atlantic City for a dozen years or so, but I was there for the boat show recently. The marina bar and deck area were average, nothing different than any other deck bar with average service. Not all tables had shade and we were left in the sun on a hot day. Inside the casino felt dirty and outdated, but again I am NOT a casino guy.
Parking was free in the garage, valet was available, but the line was very long and extended well down the road in traffic.
As for the boat show, I wouldn't recommend going. Although the boats on land were easily accessible, the boats in the water were very difficult to get on or get to because of the crowd and limited space on the docks. Additionally, the boat selection lacked any type of middle class affordable cabin cruisers. The show was heavy on center console, bow rider and various boats over $250K. The boats on land were easy to access and more aligned with the prices that an average Joe could afford. They included pontoons, bow riders, center consoles and a few cabin fishing boats.
