Disclaimer: I am currently working with one of the employees at Home Guard to get this resolved, however I feel it's still important to share my experience so that others can be aware of issues with them.

Buyer beware - We sold our townhouse in March 2018, Home Guard did the inspection. Our real estate agent advised them via email to bill the charges to the escrow account. NINE MONTHS LATER we receive an invoice from Home Guard (sent to our old address) billing us for the work performed. NINE MONTHS. No communication prior to this from anyone to say "hey btw, this wasn't paid from escrow like it should have been". Are they really 3 quarters behind on their billing? Yikes!! On Yelp, there is a review from another customer who received a bill 2.5 years after the work was done! Why are they so far behind? And without so much as an apology of why the bill is being sent so later, why it wasn't paid from the escrow account like it should have been, nothing. Just finger pointing, and threats of being sent to collections.

So, if you do end up going with Home Guard, make sure all the t's are crossed and i's are dotted, otherwise you may also end up with an unexpected bill right before Christmas demanding payment for something you thought was already taken care of. Hoping for a positive resolution this, but I'm not holding my breath.
