Definitely wouldn't recommend this Clinic. After paying for year round care, health assessments and then dedicated care for myself and my boys, I was abruptly dropped as a patient mid contract.

I hadn't violated any contract policies. Service was ended because I needed medical investigation and Medcan did not want to pursue that. They can refuse in person visits, requests for specialist follow up and do not have to cooperate with John's Hopkins referral as advertised. It is within their discretion. This isn't even in the fine print. I ended up being properly diagnosed four months later at another facility and travelling to Cleveland Clinic for follow up.

I absolutely would not have trusted them with my family's health care needs had I been aware they could walk away when things got difficult. The worst time to be abandoned as a patient. For anyone looking at Medcan as an affordable solution to socialized health care when struggling with a health issue - think twice! You can find yourself out of pocket a lot of money with no answers and back to socialized system at their discretion. Their focus is preventative care. There is no $ to be made on certain patients...they lose interest fast.

Good clinic for some - but you are paying for a fitness membership, not health care. If you need medical care, spend the extra $ and travel south of the border Or just stay in the socialized system and demand answers.. Buyer beware with this clinic for sure!
