Great first time staying on the strip. My husband and I came for New year's Eve and stayed for 8 days. We booked 8 months in advance and got a discount on the tower room suite. We were in the south hall, room 3317. Loved the room, very spacious with a comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. There's a TV that swivels to face either the bed or the couch. Had a closet and dresser and the safe in in one of the drawers of a nightstand. The bathtub was amazing, used it with the Jets every day. The shower was also great, just be warned that the water pressure is so strong it almost hurts a little. Our view was over looking the valet at the front of the MGM, not the strip. The have the same suites on a different hall across the casino that do overlook the strip. There were two sets of curtains, a sheer one shown pulled in the picture with the green light and another that acts as blackout curtains. Can't tell if it's 2am or 2pm when they're down. The room does come with a mini fridge, although it is stocked with water, soda, red bull, champagne, and various liquor that is on a sensor. If you move it and don't replace it within 30 seconds you will be charged for it. Same with the snacks on top. There was no price list included but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. So you can't use the fridge for your own things. There is also no coffee pot in the room. None. There are numerous Starbucks around the casino including one right outside the entrance to our rooms. I'm one of those that can't think about anything until I've had my morning coffee, so I got up the first morning thinking I'd go down and get us some from the Starbucks. The line was across the lobby, at least 50 people long. We ended up getting room service that morning which brought us two 16oz cups with individual half and half and sugar for about $26. There is a Walgreens that is not a far walk down the strip from the MGM, so we ended up going down there, buying some reasonably priced whiskey, a small, basic $20 coffee pot, a $9 bag of coffee and filters and used that the rest of the trip. Best deal ever. The restaurants in the hotel are pretty good, never did go to the buffet but we did walk through and it actually looked good, $40 a person. The monorail and Uber pickup are easier to get to here than any other hotel we were at. The pool was heated although we never went in, it looked nice. The MGM is the biggest casino in Vegas, and I thing 9th largest in the world. It was definitely a great time and I would recommend it.
