You can tell the owners of La Toretta had high aspirations for this resort at one time but then either ran out of cash or motivation. I suspect they aren't getting the volume of high class, deep pocket clientele that they were expecting.

Pros: family friendly pool area
newly renovated bathroom
friendly staff
nice looking golf course
views of the lake from the room

Cons: dirty carpets in hallways
no outside food in pool area
$15 poolside margarita
lawn crew in pool area using
leaf blower for 2 hours
Joe Dirt the slow poolside waiter
dark spooky hallways
need for more shade/umbrellas
around pool
garbage around pools
$20 breakfast buffet

All the cons can be easily fixed under better management .
