The price system has become significantly more expensive in the last three years (increases by up to 50% in the savings price range). In 2016 and 2017, prices between 40 and 52 were paid for a trip between Berlin and Fulda (round trip) with the BC 25, provided you had a min. booked two weeks in advance. Meanwhile, you pay in the super savings price range between 60 and 76 (BC 25 included, but the cancellation option on the introduction of a SuperSparpreises, thus a hidden price jump, was abolished).

This is contrasted by the following performance of the DB evaluation after ten train journeys (0 - 2 transfers per trip) this year:

- four late (15 - 60 minutes)
- one considerably delayed (more than 60 minutes)
- canceled a trip

- WLAN significantly reduced on nine trips in the 2nd Class or not practically usable, since emails are sent only after several attempts and minutes of waiting, similar in terms of browser pages. Thus, neither privately nor professionally work in a DB train of the 2nd class - s. Photos attached!

- Questionable-dubious advertising campaigns, in which the attention-grabbing clearly outweigh the content - Example: For allegedly particularly customer loyalty, there is the possibility to take a passenger for free. However, if you look at the conditions, you can see that this alleged benefit does not apply to the price but to the flex price. In fact, this is not a discount at all, as the Flex ticket, at least a few weeks before booking, is more than twice as expensive! Attention: misleading newsletters!

In the end, I leave the assessment of the competitiveness and performance as well as the technologies and modernity of the Deutsche Bahn ultimately to the reader.
