Went for dinner at the French Kitchen. Hotel, rest...

Went for dinner at the French Kitchen. Hotel, restaurant, and bar are undergoing major renovations. However, the building is interesting and the restaurant spacious. The French Kitchen had a distinctive Baltimore flair, with a working class feel and unpretentious staff. No suits required. The food was a mix of adventurous French and contemporary American. The French onion soup was very rich, but delicious. The charcuterie plate came with an excellent mix of house-made pates and meats. The beef bourguignon had an interesting presentation, but was delicious. There are a few wines by the glass, but combined with bottles only fill one page.

It would be great if the restaurant had a website, and took reservations online. Right now you need to call the hotel's front desk for reservations. I would also describe the service as slow, even though the dining room was very empty on the Saturday night we were there.
