This has been on my bucket list for a very long time and it sure didn't disappoint. Met at Battery Park to board the ferry to the island to meet lady liberty. The cruise was eyegasmic with great views of the statue of liberty and the skyline of Manhattan. The island is not big and can be covered entirely on foot. To enter into the statue you need special tickets. There's a gift shop where you can buy yourself some souvenirs to take home. Please do, they might be little bit pricey but trust me the quality is top notch compared to the ones found in Manhattan gift shops. Difference is that most of the miniature statue of liberty in Manhattan are made from China and I noticed the ones in the island were American made and the build felt quality overall. There's a cafeteria too grab a bite and don't forget to also visit Ellis island. Noticed most people spent a lot of time here forgetting that the last ferry to Ellis is at 3:30pm. But while here just enjoy, live the moment and take pictures. I recommend visiting with a group. I totally loved it.
