We did the crown trip which for us was good. Very small steps to get up there with a tight helter-skelter type stair case going up.

As you'd expect there isn't a great deal of room up there. We decided to get the 1000hrs ferry and get to the top fairly early on. This proved to be a good decision as on the way down the queue had built up considerably.

There are 2 sets of airport security to get there. One at battery park which we edged with a 45minute lead time and the next was to get to the pedestal/museum area.

We finished with the museum walk which unfortunately whilst steeped in I formation and history had many artefacts away for conservation. This I can accept but a suggestion would be to have an image or mock item to show what should be there. I appreciate we were somewhat in the off season (March) but I felt we missed some of the feel of the place. The new museum they are building is due to open April 19 which looks like a nice addition.

Overall we enjoyed our trip there and what artefacts were on show added to the experience.
