Wayne Hong (service agent) was Very Good - he informed me of what BMW Mt View was going to do, and what they did not do any more (sigh). I wouldn't fault him.
I'd certainly would ask for Wayne again. However, the irksome process has something to do with the history of the service site - if you want a loaner, they have few and you must schedule them like you would a service appointment. That is not what I've come to expect in years past, so I was stranded and mad. That change to their scheduling process is something you can count on, so don't forget it. If you need a car for a day, and are making online appointments, look for the loaner schedule calendar. Second, they are in heavy upgrades of the physical site (it's a mess), and it crowds everyone into short service lanes that, in spite of their good efforts, is a kind of Hell. I don't know if Stevens Creek is better, so maybe this is business as usual.
