This park ranks right up there with Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and a few others.
The best part is the annual attendance is 400,000, a lot less than the millions visiting the more easily accessible parks. I read dozens of reviews and blogs, trying to make the most of 5 days. Don't waste your time. Just go. Stop at any welcome center and ask questions. Then get out and do it. If you're lucky enough to get a room in the park's only lodge, you're close to everything. Otherwise, stay in Terlingua.
Note: There is no phone service or wifi in the park except at the Visitor's Centers. Plan ahead. Download maps and information before you go in. Have a great time.
