If I could leave zero- or negative- star for this ...

If I could leave zero- or negative- star for this hotel, I would definitely do that.
We stayed at this hotel for one night last week. First of all, the location is good if you are interested in Asian restaurants nearby. The wifi speed was terrible. However, the most terrible/disappointing thing about this hotel is their service. We checked out around 2pm and found out that a puffer jacket was left in the closet of the hotel room ~2 hours later. We were at Manhattan at that time so we called the front desk immediately hoping that we could go back to the hotel to pick up the jacket before going home. The first person answering the phone said that he needs to contact housekeeper and promised us to call us back within couple minutes. We waited for more than an hour without any response. We thus made a phone call again and the same person answered the phone. We were told that nothing was found in the room and the person was extremely rude to hang up the phone before our conversation was finished. We are 100% sure that the jacket is in the hotel room. Therefore, we called again and someone else answered the phone. We were told the same thing- he said that he will check again and will give us a call back within couple minutes. Until now (more than a week later), no one from the hotel has contacted us. We also contacted Hyatt customer service and were told that they have asked the hotel management team to give us a call before January 2. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel contacted us.

We are VERY VERY VERY disappointed to learn that this hotel treats their customers with such disrespect and rudeness since we used to assume that Hyatt hotels have high level of service quality. I am not saying that we are not at fault, but I think how the hotel deals with missing item is something that can really differentiate a good and a bad hotel. It is terrible to understand that people in this hotel are so dishonest. We will see how long this hotel needs to make things right.
