We attended the "children's night" of Sherwood and were very disappointed. We had specifically called when booking our ticket and told them that we were very conservative and wanted to know if there was anything in the play that we should know about before bringing our children. We were assured, by the salesperson, who had just seen the show, that there was nothing they could even think of that would be of note. IT IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. In fact there wasn't much in the play at all that was good. It was mostly paying too much money to have to cover our children's eyes. The play has swearing, sexual foreplay, sexual jokes, a "death" character, and mostly consisted of the actors describing in detail how to harm, impale, and kill others. DON'T GO. After calling the playhouse TWICE before someone called us back, I was told there was nothing they would do. We have attended plays every year at the Black Hills Playhouse and will not be back again.
