Do NOT hire American Relocation Company. We had a nightmare experience with them.

For starters- They were late to arrive to move our stuff out of our apartment, then they took smoke breaks during the move out process which was frustrating since we were paying them by the hour. After they finally finished loading up the truck and were on their way to our new apartment, they called and told me they left their cell phone in our old apartment and had to turn back to go get it. They lost an hour of time retrieving this cell phone. Because of all of these delays we were not able to move our belongings into our new apartment due to restrictions our building set on how late people could move in. This time restriction was communicated to the moving company when we first booked with them so the fact they still did not get our belongings there on time was unacceptable. They then told us they could not store our belongings for us, so we had to pay twice as much money in order to book a storage unit and new movers for the next day. Then when they didnt show up at the time they said they would be there, I contacted the movers and they told me their truck broke down on the side of the road. The movers did not show up for another 3 hours and they nearly missed the window to move our stuff into our storage unit. They then tried to charge us for an additional three hours of moving service and also were disappointed when we did not offer a tip. It was absolutely ridiculous and they should never be booked.
