My family has a complaint against Dan s Moving Van...

My family has a complaint against Dan s Moving Van. They had been hired to both do the packing and moving for my elderly parents who were moving into an assisted living facility. The problem began with the packing. There were nothing but complaints even though they knew the amount that needed to be packed in their small apartment. They also informed us that we were required to pack as well. We were confused because that is what we hired THEM to do. We felt that we had no choice at that point because the following day was moving day.

Moving day was also a nightmare because all the employees did was complain about moving things up 3 flights of stairs (which, again they were fully aware). When they brought boxes up to the apartment they dropped them anywhere even though they were labeled. They left an antique plant stand sitting by the elevator. I m just glad I spotted it.

The BIGGEST problem was that a number of things went missing:

Antique table
Collectible Depression Glass pieces
Antique Chicken Feeder used for dried flowers
24 X 36 print of flowers (matted and valuable
2 large rocks (decorative)

When we asked Dan s about these items, they accused us of inadvertently giving them to Goodwill.We did NOT give these items to Goodwill. All the items donated to Goodwill were in open baskets and in my car.

Dan s REFUSES to take responsibility for these items missing, saying that that has never happened to them ....well it has NOW.

This is the absolute worst experience with movers that we ve ever had!

Use Dan s Moving Van!
