Extremely average stay and definitely not a relaxation hotel.
The additional charges along the way were a bit annoying despite trying to position itself as a spa break hotel you have to pay an additional charge to gain access to the thermal suites (even though half the suite is actually in the leisure centre??!) . Plus 9 per night for parking?! I believe you also have to pay to access the gym?!
From check in staff did not seem welcoming, I went to bar food the evening I arrived and changed seats 3 times in order to get served! Same story the next day at lunch I just left after 20 mins of no one serving me despite it being dead. My room was always cold. All of the above very average experience given the price but things you can let slide.
However on my last night of a relaxing spa break I realised the hotel was hosting a student ball, from 8pm until 1:30am the noise outside my room was awful! This definitely was not the experience I expected at the price point and I actually felt a little uncomfortable in the hotel as well as not being able to sleep.
My advice: if seeking a spa break book Seafield, Monart or Powerscourt etc- not much more expensive but far superior in experience. If seeking a city break, book one of the cheaper hotels on eyre square. There is nothing stand out about this hotel, it s trying to be something it s not and it s just not worth the money.
