Rovio Entertainment Corporation, formerly known as Relude, Rovio Mobile and Rovio Entertainment Ltd. is a Finnish developer and distributor of video games and an entertainment company based in Espoo Finland. The company was founded in 2003 under the name of Relude and was renamed to Rovio Mobile in 2005, Rovio Entertainment Ltd. in 2011 and Rovio Entertainment Corporation in 2017. The company became much better known when creating the Angry Birds series of games.

In December 2009, Rovio launched Angry Birds, his 52nd game, a jigsaw puzzle game where a bird is hurled using a slingshot, the game was released for iPhone, which became App Store's # 1 application for iOS, in the list of paid apps after six months. In 2012, Angry Birds has been downloaded more than 1 billion times, with 25% of this total being paid downloads, making it one of the most downloaded games on the App Store
