By far the most amazing experience at a hotel I've...

By far the most amazing experience at a hotel I've ever had the pleasure of having. The park Hyatt oozes hospitality and class from the moment the representative met me at male airport, to the very end.

The island is located in the middle of the southern atoll and you will see no other island nearby giving you the sense of ultimate privacy. The island itself is likely one of the most idyllic and stunningly beautiful places I've seen. I've been to many many amazing beaches all around the world and I was totally mesmerized by the sheer beauty of hadahaa Island. The impossibly deep colors of the ocean, corals, and pristine white sand beaches are what makes this place special. Even though the resort was at capacity (100 guests), I felt like I was the only one there at times, and often asked where the hell is everyone? Amazing.

As for the resort itself, I mean what else could you ask for? The infinity pool is probably 50m long, two main restaurants for delicious food and drinks, and a spa (that we didn't use) but heard amazing things about. We stayed at the park villa for 2 nights and the sunset Overwater villas for another night. Both were amazing but if you wanted to experience the Overwater villask, this is THE ultimate place to do it. The sunset villas come with your own infinity pool and has just some of the most amazing views you can imagine. We didn't want to leave is an understatement. We actually even skipped breakfast the last day so we could spend as much time as possible in our villa.

We had a personal host that saw to our every need and helped plan everything during our stay. They were wonderfully attentive and made our stay extra special, including transporting us around in little buggys. All the other staff were always smiling at me and made me feel like they wanted me here.

We also did two boat dives with the dive shop here. It is impecabbly run and the DMs and instructors were all great. The diving itself is fantastic and the southern atolls are just a gem in general.

All in all, this is one of the most naturally stunning places you'll ever experience in your life. The fact that the park Hyatt has made an amazingly beautiful resort is only secondary to appreciating the natural beauty of hadahaa and the Maldives. Resorts will continue to get fancier and more upscale, but natural beauty like this will only fade as climate change continues. Come to the Maldives for this reason and leave whatever overinflated hotel standards you have at home.

As for some of the negative reviews I've seen, here are my insights into those.

Long journey: yes it is a long trip here. From male, you need to take a domestic flight to kooddoo in the south (1 hr) , followed by a speedboat ferry for 30 minutes. But good things come to those that wait and this is worth waiting for. Plus you've already flown who knows how long to male. What's another 2 hours to get to paradise?
