First time at this establishment and was extremely excited to try the French press coffee as per a friends reccomendation.

Unfortunately my first time experience here is ruined after receiving rude and unpleasant service. As a first time goer to any establishment I love to ask questions about the specials and local favourites. The cashier who helped me seemed to be extremely rude and irritated. It was a shocking experience to say the least and I think the poor service may be motivated by racism.

All the customers in line received friendly service with how are yours and any questioned about the food or drinks quickly and nicely answered. I asked a question about what soups were available and received a roll of the eyes and muttering of its over there . As I continued to ask could you tell me a little more as it was my first time - thinking any staff who is greeted with a first time visitor would be more than happy to explain the selection - received don t you know what vegan split pea soup is? It s green. And the chicken dumpling soup is chicken . Great thank you for that exceptional service. She preceded to accidentally rip my number/ receipt in half.

It s very unfortunate some people are so miserable that 2 minutes of their day used to help someone else is too much to ask - even when it s their job.
