For the 4th year in a row, we've stayed here for the convenient, luxury experience during the Marin County Fair. This year accommodations have drastically digressed. The wait for dinner was 30 minutes to be seated with 8 tables active, 12+available and a line of folks waiting to eat. It appears the kitchen was staffed properly, but the waitstaff was quite few which was apparent. The hostess was cold with no apologies or hospitality, rather expected an argument or complaint. She doesn't realize that you get more need with honey, and with honey cones money. The quality of food was quite poor, table sticky and napkins and flatware under tables. Beverages (including half consumed beer and wine accessible to children), room service, trash cans with a terrible stench were left outside rooms and in banquet common areas overnight between 5pm and 12pm the following day which leads one to believe that if cleanliness is an issue outside the room - do I want to know how clean these sheets are? The pool water was so cloudy you couldn't see to the bottom. There were clump of long hair with stuck to my arms and bandaids floating along. No swim towels from Monday night until Tuesday afternoon around noon and no toilet paper or paper towels in pool restrooms. The carpets along the hallways leading to the rooms were heavily stained, like no attempts made to even spot clean. Garbage thrown over railings, melted candy, popcorn, plastic garbage in koi pond for 2 days. A man and woman got stuck in an elevtor for a 2nd time and it wasnt placed as inoperable, but continued for use even though it was visably out of alignment - it sounded like it was struggling. The saving grace of tgis establishment was Allison at the front desk and one of the room cleaners. They had impeccable manners and demeanor or tgis would have been a single star visit. Either they aren't prepared for heavy trafficked events or they cannot maintain adequate staffing levels because the place is falling apart aesthetically.
