Beautiful national monument. Had a bit of construction for the new museum - it looks like it will be really nice when completed. Security check points were efficient. Nice to have lockers at the base of the statue to lock up items you could not take on the statue. Had tickets to the pedestal and it was a nice view from there of the city, surroundings and upward towards the statue. Would have like to have gone up to the crown but this was sold out 4 months in advance - not sure why as we only saw 2 groups of 3-4 people go to the crown.
