tl; dr PRO TIP: If its a weekend, you line up at the "line line" and your friend should line up on the "pre-order pizza line". Both waits should be about an hour/hour and a half and you can save lots of standing around.

I wasn't able to try the food because as a tourist, I got confused. After waiting 30 min in line to get in the line, we had to wait an hour. Okay, they warned us about that when we got to the line. On the menu it says that the pizza was going to take 40 min for this pizza to be cooked. Alright I'll wait 30 minutes before going to the second line to pre-order my pizza. When I get to the line to pre-order my pizza, which was anothe 30 min, the guy told me it would take 1 1/2 hours to make my pizza, so I should've started waiting in the second line right after passing level 1.

I only had one day in Chicago so I wish I could've tried the infamous Giordanos, but I am understanding, so I'm happy that they are so successful that they are busy. BUTTTT ( and I'm impressed if you actually went through that whole rant) the lobby was A HUGE FIRE HAZARD!! It was impossible to get in and out of the insanely packed lobby. There was only one rotating door for dozens of people trapped in a hot lobby.
