Very nice grounds landscape is constantly maintained. Clean overall. Maid service 2 times a day. Fridge always stocked with beer,soda juice and Dasani water. Had room 1469 in preferred section closest to beach, extra restaurant and extra pool just for preferred guest. Food in buffet was really good compared to many Mexican resort all inclusive. Fresh and variety changed daily, very tasty. Mahi mahi fish always offered. Big deal for me being from Hawaii. Very pricey there,so I was thrilled to have it everyday. Shocked to not have shrimp offered anywhere. Best dinner is at Spice, Benihana type place. Or can do ala cart. Blue water grill food good had ribeye steak. But service was very bad, super slow. Capers in sister resort just a 2 minute golf cart ride away or 10 minute walk among pretty grounds. Good Italian food with salad bar. Service good nice clean place. Beach snack bar grill ok. Burger and hotdogs,chicken, pastry and fruit. Entertainment was best in my 18 years of traveling. The circus de soleil type show was my favorite. Live bands in plaza was average. Night club big,very nice , not much American music. But crowd still had fun. Casino small, 25 slots, usual game tables. Beach was nice, lots of palapas to choose from, never had a problem getting one anytime of day. Seaweed was constantly cleaned up and there was lots of it. Drink service on beach good. Vendors not a big problem, but on public shoreline lots of them. Time share sale pressure, not too bad. Just say No. Don't even agree to the meeting. Employees very friendly. Bonded with a few. Red bull in entertainment was excellent, Ray in buffet also. We got to know their personal lives. They work 14 hrs shifts for weeks before time off. Not seeing their families, being boarded in a building close to resort with 5 others in same room. Small pay, tips are taken from them by boss. Saw that first hand. These 2 are our favorite and a blessing to have gotten to know them as real people. The employees have hard lives, be kind to them. Corporate anywhere sucks. Kudos to those who try to make life good inspite of corporate. Wish them well.
