Couldn't agree more with the reviews below. A fraudulent business with a poor customer service ripping of well know trusted Avis brand. I booked a car via Avis UK website; I arrived late at night in Riga airport a night before Christmas with a sick child and was presented a bill with additional late arrival fees on top of my bill. These fees did not appear anywhere in the booking process on the website apart from a small print in the last page in one of three pdfs hidden in a url on the bottom of the booking confirmation email. The agent got very embarrassed when we explained that this kind of practice is illegal. Seems this is something that the management had enforced on them.

Thankfully Avis UK have reviewed this and issued the refund...but I will never hire a car from Avis LV, which actually is not Avis but some shady SIA Ideal Services.

The most heartbreaking thing about all of this is that Riga visitors a get a very poor and wrong first impression about our beautiful country thanks to this kind of people and businesses. A few years ago Riga airport kicked out several dodgy taxi firms out of the airport as they were ripping off tourists using dodgy meters. Why not do the same with this kind of shady businesses?
