I started a claim on Apr 3. I was told by EFG that a rental would only be covered for 5 days starting on the day the claim was approved. My claim was approved on Apr 8, so I went 5 days with no vehicle. The new engine for my car was received on Apr 11. My problem is that it has now been 2 weeks with no vehicle. I understand I will be reimbursed for 5 days of rental but I need it for longer as the process is taking a very long time. I am also unhappy with the lack of proactive communication between the dealer and EFG. My husband is having to act as the middle man between EFG and the dealership. EFG should be calling every day to the dealership for updates and then let us know. I am now also learning the engine for my car came from a junkyard and it needs maintenance such as electric work and there may be an oil leak. This will only prolong this process. I am refusing this engine and want a brand new one.
