STAY AWAY !!! Please read entire review to prevent a repeat of our experience. I hate to say this but this is undoubtedly one of the worst hospitals I have ever experienced having to visit and have relatives as patients in my life. After an accident my 78 year old frail mother-in-law broke her left wrist and a pelvic bone and was taken to this hospital for treatment. The broken wrist required surgery and had to be stitched after surgery and then wrapped. During her 3 night and 4 days stay in this hospital we had numerous problems with the staff in the way she was treated. The problems ranged from lack of care in terms of no bathing at all unless it was done by one of the family members. We had to make the nursing Staff address the many lacerations on her legs where her frail and brittle skin had been torn open by the rocks that she fell on and had not been cared for in surgery or in the emergency ward. Whenever we tried to call during the daytime to check on her the nurses that were taking care of her could not give us any information about her because they claimed they knew nothing and had no information to give us - sometimes claiming that nothing had been entered in her records yet even by noon of that day. Her daily medications were either not administered at all or not in a timely fashion even though we doubled checked when we brought her in to make sure her daily meds were in her profile. There were numerous other problems that we had but they are too many to name so let me just say that this was an experience that I do not wish upon anyone or anyone's relatives. When we got home and her doctor unbandaged her wrist the suture was found to still have dirt around surgery area from her original fall - the area had not been cleansed at all for surgery. The suture that was taken in the 7in long incision was one long circular suture without any knots at all and it was done in a spiral fashion similar to what you would find in a spiral notebook binding. Needless to say this is going to be a horrible looking scar. It truly mystifies me to wonder where this Hospital manages to recruit its medical staff from. I would definitely give this Hospital the lowest possible rating that I could ever think of and would not even venture to use it as a Veterinary service for my animals. I don't think that my dogs would get the care that they would deserve either.
