I am so extraordinarily disappointed in Google customer service, I wish I could erase all my Google related items. I ordered a Pixel XL 2 in Jan 2018 and it died inexplicably on Thanksgiving Day 2018. I have taken more than 48 hours to have any sort of "resolve" to my issue. Google's one year "warranty" means you will receive a REFURBISHED phone in FOUR business days and CANNOT because of their "system" have it any faster. I am a small business owner headed in to Open Enrollment. If the phone wasn't $1200 and less than a year old - I would throw it in the trash never to use a Google product, again. Now, they have me hostage for a phone AND they charge your credit card - MORE THAN THE FULL AMOUNT OF A NEW PHONE - until you return the damaged phone. So, my credit card is also held hostage. And, why did the customer service rep advise that I "video me packing the phone in the box before shipping - in case Google thinks something else is wrong with the phone when it arrives". Seriously? I am now paranoid that Google will try and say my phone didn't really die in the middle of Thanksgiving lunch? What a exhaustively extremely terrible customer service experience. In my follow up to my transaction, I suggested the leadership contact Jeff Besos of Amazon - he understands amazing customer service. This experience has permanently altered how I feel about Google in general and I will tell everyone that will listen to my experience.
