Lovely in every way. We stayed overnight for a birthday celebration. What a perfect time we had!. We stayed in an Original Master which was spacious, comfortable and luxurious. The towels were my favourite of any hotel we have stayed at, and there have been many! The bed was comfortable although the topper seemed to be feather and my husband has allergies so we didn't have as sound of a sleep as anticipated. Great claw foot oversized tub and beautiful marble tile detail. Very clean of course as you would expect staying at Langdon Hall. A wood burning fireplace was a nice touch. My only complaint about the room was the coffee maker, I think it was not working well, really loud and terrible coffee. Also the cable messed up late at night but we needed to sleep anyway. The staff is amazing. They are ALL friendly, engaged with anticipating your needs from the minute we arrived to holding the door for us as we left. We felt lost in time at Langdon Hall and had fun imagining what it must have been like to live in such comfort and beauty. The mansion is gorgeous and you can feel the history, which we loved. Everywhere you gaze there is beauty and exceptional attention to detail. The food was outstanding although a little rich for our palette, we will ensure to pace ourselves next time! The breakfast was good and the croissants were amazing. The quiche could have been warmer but still delicious. The wait staff where simply the best. I loved how they whispered in each guests ear prior to ordering dinner, asking "do you have any allergies?" As my husband does and seems to be a little shy when a run of the mill waiter doesn't ask or blurts out this question and stop all conversation at the table. It was a very thoughtful and nice touch. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed a late night bonfire which the nice gentleman on the front desk patiently tended to so that we could enjoy the experience, even at a late hour. Thank you to everyone at Langdon Hall for a great memory for my dear friends 70th birthday celebration.
