I remember we really enjoyed our first takeout where we ordered the bun hue, rice vermicelli with tofu and ba lot rolls. But the next time we ordered the bun hue they made it sooo friggin spicy I wasnt able to finish it.. Next I ordered the 2 small soups, canh Chua and Tom yum and was disappointed because they didn't taste right. They were sooo sweet I could hardly feel the main salty/sour layers of each soup, it felt like a syrup instead. Maybe it's because of the region of Vietnam that they're from, their food is on the sweeter side but Tom Yum and Canh Chua are definitely not supposed to be THAT sweet. Our experience with them has fluctuating a lot lately as I find that they either go too spicy or too sweet, even for the vegan fish sauce or marinated bean curd. However, because they're the only vegan Viet place close to us and didn't disappoint the first time, we will still give other food items a go. I just hope the restaurant takes this into consideration and balances out their flavors.
