A great place to visit and to get up close with the Orangutang. There are precautionary measures in place before you can enter the Centre. All backpacks and loose items like purses, bum bags and the like, must be locked up in lockers (free of charge). If you bring a camera you have to pay an extra fee. Mobile phones can be taken inside without charge. There are two feeding times on two different feeding platforms that are next to the Centre. Raised wooden walkways are in place to get you there. The morning feeding time was unsuccessful when I was there and it was extremely busy with touring busses full of visitors. We left earlier and decided to come back for the second feeding time in the afternoon. At that time we got a lot more space on the viewing platforms and there were quite a few Orangutangs about. We even got a surprise visit from a large wild male that came very close to the audience and a short moment of panic broke out amongst the carers. One of the smaller females took a baby stroller and made a run with it through the audience. The only advice that I can give you is to take the afternoon feeding time as there are no touring buses present at that time of day which made it much more enjoyable.
